Melvyn Langley

Melvyn Langley qualified in 1972 as a Chartered Certified Accountant. Upon qualification he was offered a position as a Tax Manager at a large accountancy firm dealing with both fraud and HM Revenue & Customs tax investigation matters.
In 1974, he moved into the field of Insolvency dealing with both corporate and personal insolvencies. He became one of the main Partners at his previous practice primarily dealing with Insolvency and Taxation and in 1993 formed ‘Langley and Partners’ in which he was the Senior Partner. In 2002, he retired and sold the business to his former partners. In 2011, he was requested to come out of retirement by his former partners.
During the last thirty nine years he has specialised in advising companies and individuals on all matters of insolvency including Administration, Liquidation and Arrangements as well as the restructuring of various companies. He continues to act as a Financial Director of a Public Listed Company and has assisted with the floatation of a company to AIM. He continues to provide consultancy services to a large pool of clients as well as advising clients in relation to various VAT Tribunals cases.
